IOU Finance LLC ("IOU") is a Georgia limited liability company. IOU operates a peer-to-peer payment tracking mobile app that lets two consenting users create and track structured payment agreements — personal IOUs, rent/lease arrangements, and work agreements. Users record what is owed and confirm payments made directly between themselves (bank transfer, cash, check, or another app); IOU is not a bank, lender, or debt collector, and does not currently hold, transfer, or transmit funds on a user's behalf. The app also includes a shared receipt-splitting tool and a private, self-view IOU Score for a user's own payment history.

IOU sends account-related SMS messages only — one-time phone verification codes, requested by the user when creating or securing an account. IOU never sends marketing or promotional SMS. See our SMS Program page for the full messaging disclosure, sample message text, and opt-in/opt-out details.

The platform is available to residents of Georgia, Florida, and Massachusetts.
